Der Checker

Gute Neuigkeiten! Zuhause erwartete mich ein Brief, der mir mitteilte, dass ich für die Teilnahme an einer Wanderausstellung ausgewählt worden bin. Insgesamt 30 Beiträge wurden ausgesucht, und mein Beitrag ist dabei …ich freue mich riesig! Es geht um den Kunstwettbewerb PlakatKunst „Szene am Meer“ für den Kunstpreis Bad Zwischenahn. Nun geht der „Checker“ auf Tour und wird u.a. Oldenburg und Spiekeroog sehen….das ist echt cool!

Good news! When I came home a letter was waiting to tell me that my drawing will take part on a touring exhibition. 30 pictures have been chosen and I am very happy that my drawing will participate. It´s about the art contest of the city of Bad Zwischenahn with the theme “Oceanscene” for a poster. Now the “cool”-boy will be on tour in Oldenburg and Spiekeroog…that´s really cool!

Blockstreifen

Ich liebe Streifen! An einer der jetzt noch kalten Tage (hoffentlich sind sie endlich vorbei!) stach mir diese dicke Jacke direkt ins Auge. Ein junger Mann stand mit seinem Fahrrad an der Ampel, gemeinsam mit einer jungen Dame, gegenüber der Bushaltestelle am Markusplatz. Als auch noch ein roter Bus anhielt war der Kontrast perfekt.

STRIPES

I just love stripes! On one of the last cold days (I hope they are over now!) this thick jacket caught my eye. A young man with his bike was waiting at a traffic light, accompanied by a young lady, right across from the bus stop Markusplatz. And then a red bus stopped: isn´t this a great contrast?

B wie Bamberg, B wie Bratwurst

…endlich ist es soweit! Heute erscheint mein erstes Tagesbild von Bamberg. Wer A sagt muss auch B sagen! Diese zufällige Momentaufnahme war „Am Gabelmann“, im Zentrum von Bamberg. Manche Bilder erzählen ihre eigene Geschichte, mal´ witzig, mal´ ernst: ein älterer Herr steht mit seinem Hund vor einer Bratwurstbude. Was wohl für Gedanken in beiden Köpfen kreisen?

B IS FOR BAMBERG, B IS FOR BRATWURST

…at last! Here is my first daily painting of Bamberg. I made this snap shot at a place called “Am Gabelmann”. (If I translate “Gabelmann” into English, it would mean: ”Forkman”=Neptun!).
Some pictures tell their own stories, some are funny, some are sad: this old man was standing with his dog in front of a hot dog stand. I wonder what they both were thinking about?

Tagesbilder: eine Herausforderung

Als Künstlerin eine Brücke zwischen der eigenen Arbeit und der Öffentlichkeit zu finden ist nicht immer einfach. Ich entdeckte den Blogspot der "Daily Painters" und wußte sofort, das das auch der richtige Weg für mich ist und eine weitere Entwicklung meiner Malerei. Die Herausforderung, jeden Tag ein Bild zu malen, ist spannend und verlangt natürlich viel Disziplin. Mein Vorhaben ist es, Bilder aus Bamberg einzustellen. Warum Bamberg? Vor 5 Jahren haben mein Mann und ich unseren Wohnort in den Landkreis Bamberg verlegt und ich habe diese Stadt sehr schnell in mein Herz geschlossen. Bamberg hat viele Gesichter und man kann täglich ein neues entdecken. Es werden Alltagsbilder sein, aber auch Stillleben bzw. Gegenstände aus dem täglichen Leben, in verschiedene Mal- und Zeichentechniken, die zukünftig dieses "Tagebuch" füllen werden. Jedes Bild steht zum Verkauf, bei Kaufinteresse der Tagesbilder bitte mailen. Ich hoffe das es für Sie die große tägliche Überraschung wird!

DAILY PAINTINGS: A CHALLENGE

As an artist it´s not always easy to find a bridge to the art interested people. Discovering the "Daily Painters" blogspot I knew this could be the right way for me and a new development of my own art. The challenge, a painting a day, is exciting and demands lots of discipline. My intention is to post paintings mainly of the city of Bamberg. Why Bamberg? 5 years ago my husband and I moved near Bamberg and it was love at first sight to this town. Bamberg has many faces and you discover daily a new one. There will be paintings or drawings of everyday life, still life and different little things.
